Why buy a custom-made salsa dress?

When it comes to purchasing a salsa dress, you have one of two choices: you can try your luck at a department store, or you can shop online.

Well, for starters, the odds of finding a salsa dress at a regular department store are slim to none. And even if you do luck out, you can be sure the one you find is just one a dozen that look exactly like it. (So much for standing apart on the dance floor.)

As for shopping online, that can be equally tricky. You might believe that shopping online can save you money. But by the time you buy the dress, pay for shipping, and pay a seamstress for the alterations and additions that you know you are going to require, you have ended up paying a small fortune. And again, none of the discount salsa dresses you see online are one-of-a-kinds.  Oh sure, there are plenty of custom-designed salsa gowns to be found in cyberspace, but even slightly used ones can cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars.
